is there an easy way to drain the tranny fluid on a 93 grand caravan 3.3 liter? the van was overheating because of a broken by pass hose, but the trans would not kick in gear before the overheating problem some one said u can disconnect the neg cable it might help dose van need to be running to do that. i would like to drain the fluid and replace it can it be done with out alot of problems? the van still runs hot. water pump is working i changed the thermostate, oil and filter any help would be cool..................thanks

Trans fluid is best changed by getting the kit, dropping the pan and changing the filter. It probably doesn't have a drain plug. Some Crysler transmissions go into a "limp" mode and can be reset by disconnecting neg battery cable for a minute. The overheating needs to end or problems will continue. Is the radiator itself any good? Fan(s) working and on time? T
