93 s-10 blazer door panel loose Sign In

OK, so I actually know what's wrong with the door (the driver door): the metal brace/bracket thing that connects the panel to the door frame is missing (I really don't know what happened to it), but I can't seem to find anything like it anywhere on the internet. Anyone know what I could do (where to look/how to make my own)?

At that age you would just find a junkyard for whatever piece you need for that. Locally, most vehicles over 10 years they'll let you take a part off a door OR have already taken whole door if in exceptional condition. You might find a full diagram of every little thing in the door at a dealer.

You need a better description of what you need as there's a lot of stuff in a door and fasteners of various types that hold the panel on,

The only other detail I could come up with is it's what you screw the panel handle into, but I'll have a look to see if the yards around here have any 93 blazers.

Just a wild guess as model years change things. There's probably a bare metal part riveted onto door metal that screws from door panel finger pull hide a couple screws. That part if so had to be broken off if what I'm thinking. It might have been screwed on but I think that was a riveted item in most. No matter - it keeps the panel from pulling away when shutting the door from inside - again if it's what I think you are after.

I don't understand how that could be missing? Forget computer searches for this thing whatever it really is. You need to just go and get it off a door yourself or talk to a body shop local to you to see what they do to get misc stuff like that. Truth is most of that junk gets squished with the remains of junked vehicles and unless you want to buy a whole door on line you wont likely find anyone itemize near useless stuff like that.

If you can take a picture of the passenger's door of exactly what's missing it would really help from here to know exactly what you need,

(on edit) -- It wont have to be from a 93 exactly. That body shares a lot with the first ones in 1982 but a good junkyard will know the groupings of compatible body parts by year and if some optional package changed the panel??
