'95 Camry Stalling at stops Help

I have a 1995 Toyota Camry that has been stalling when in gear during stops. Here is the car history- In October 2011 the car was turning over but not firing. We towed the car to our my father's friend who is a mechanic and he determined that the timing belt had slipped. After replacing the timing belt he also replaced the spark plugs as part of the general maintenance. After driving away I noticed that during stops the car's idle fluctuated between 700 and 1000 rpm. I put in a can of gas line cleaner which seemed to improve the problem and so I did not worry about it. A week later I noticed that the problem started again. As time went on the problem became worse and the idle fluctuated between 500-100 rpm and would stall if left in gear. To solve this problem I have kept the car in neutral, but when the car is warm the fluctuation creeps into neutral as well. To try to fix the problem we cleaned out the air-intake, EGR valve, replaced the spark plugs, and replaced the ECT sensor. Nothing so far has worked and we are running out of low cost fixes. The Symptoms are- Fine start up when the engine is cold After 5+ minutes of running the engine starts to fluctuate when left in gear at stops after 10+ minutes the engine will stall if left in gear at stops. after 15+ minutes the engine will start stalling in low-rpm coasting and after 20+ minutes of driving, the engine will fluctuate in nuetral. The engine seems to run fine as long as it is driving over 1000 rpm but it seems to be idling higher when it is set to cruise control. After it dies it will start up very quickly without having to wait and I can continue driving Please help me if you can. thanks

I would start out by having the computer scanned for any stored trouble codes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

2.2L or 3.0L? You can get flash codes by jumpering TE1 to E1 in the diagnostic connector under the hood. After jumpering, turn the ignition on and the check engine light will flash any stored codes. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

One thing that you could try is cleaning the idle air control valve. You have to remove the throttle body and then remove the idle air control valve housing from the throttle body. The screws are on there pretty good and you'll need an impact driver to get them out. The idle air control valve is a rotary valve and carbon can cause the rotary valve to stick and cause idling problems and stalling. Remove the motor/driver from the idle control valve assembly and clean the rotary valve with carb cleaner. Use a new seal during reassembly. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
