95 Nissan Maxima se 3.0 v6 296 on the body 140 on the motor It might be long but just trying to get the most info out there so i can get some good advice. Ok so here it goes. About 2 weeks ago i had a cel pop up for knock sensor, and misfire cyl 2. I had the code clear so i didnt have to look at the annoying light. This past friday cel came on again for knock sensor and multiple misfire. I bought plugs for the car. On saturday i put the plugs in and afterwards cel came on again for knock sensor and misfire cyl 5. So i bought a new coil. Didnt solve my problem. I decided to check something out. So i put the old coil on cyl 3 and moved the coil from 3 to 5. It was still a mis in cyl 5. I also swapped the new plug in 5 with the new plug in 3 and it still remains in cyl 5. Sunday i had a additional code pop up for a p1320. Which is ignition signal. It relates to… A) short or open circuit B) cam position sensor C) failed power transistor unit D) fail ignition ballast resistor Now options C and D are not really a option sinvlce the car doesnt have a distributor. I was told by multiple people that the cam sensor will cause a multiple misfire and not just on one cyl. I put some lucas in the car along with premium gas. Changed the fuel filter because i had one anyway. I run on limited time to work on the car so when i do work on it i dont have alot of time to do multiple things at once. The only thing i havent checked is the injector, because i have to remove the intake manifold to do so. Is there another way to check the injector. Like maybe the plug will be wet or something. Im not to knowledgable with these things i just mainly know that most misses are due to plugs or coils. I know how to fix things even though i may not know what all it actually does Can anybody give me some advice that does not insist i take it to a shop. Im a diy guy because i like to learn and i dont have the money to pay someone to tell me what ls going on Any help will be appreciated and if you have any more questions or need more info please let me know

You need to rig up a noid light to that coil plug to determine if it's getting ignition pulse. They had a lot of problems with the wiring harness's on Maximas around that year. It could also be a bad PCM. The wiring would have to be tested back to the PCM. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
