Unimpressed I have looked and looked on the Web and any advice is appreciated.

2 issues at this time.

When I select 4wd HI or LO, the light flashes inside - I hear the clicking underneath (In LO the gear ratio changes) however there is no 4WD.. Have not found any vacuum leaks and it sounds as if it is changing something underneath - I hear a click when pressing the 4wd buttons inside.

The harder one - Fuel pump was making a loud noise and then stalling in hot weather. Change the under body filter (no change) - changed the fuel pump and problem has changed. The pump is still loud (new one) - I turn the key and hear the pump run and then stop when it reaches it pressure - the Blazer starts and idles fine - Runs down the road fine - the catch - if the Blazer is facing down hill, it will only idle for about 15 seconds and then stall - drift to flat surface and starts right up otherwise will not start on a decline. Incline works fine.
New Fuel pump is loud (Happens with a full tank of gas). Sometimes when I start the Blazer I will have to let the fuel build up and stop (fuel pump) before it will start??????

Hi John,

4WD... I have a 97 C-2500 manually floor shifted for 4WD and it became very slow to engage but always did. I had to let my transmission guy advise on that as it didn't do it all the time. He replaced the actuator and a heater wire and that fixed it. The actuator engages the hubs (front).

The fuel pump!!!! - Tough one?? You said it was noisy and new one doesn't like the angle of the veh and can stall or not run. Both were noisy?

Perhaps and just guessing here that the pick up has a leak and sucks air which might make both noise and cause loss of fuel pressure. It's odd that a full tank of fuel doesn't change that. Are all fuel lines and return lines ok? Noise and performance seem to be the clue here but I've never run across that problem.

No harm in calling GM with vin# ready at the toll free # in your owner's manual. I've called them over a Tahoe brake issue and they weren't very helpful for me but it might be worth a try.
