96 plymouth breeze

i have a 96 plymouth breeze that when i go down the road it runs than it just losses power and spits and sputters and dies can anyone help me please.i have changed converter thats not it tired of getting stranded it just started doing this friday.engine is a 2.0 with 150,000

leighann; The converter dying is a result, not a cause. You need to find out what caused the converter to die, or plug up, before you damage the new one. Have the trouble codes retrieved and post them for us. I'm guessing you'll come up with P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, and/or P0304? Most larger parts stores will retrieve the trouble codes for free. Don't let them sell you any parts until we can take a peek. Loren SW Washington
