1997 buck park ave has power windows that work for the first 20 seconds or so after I start the car. They will not work again until I drive for a while. Sometimes in 5 minutes, sometimes as much as 15 or 20 minutes. Recently, the drivers side window went down and never came back up. All of the other windows are working as described above. No sounds or indications that the motor is even trying to engage the drivers side window. I could not find a fuse or relay in the owners manual related to the windows at all. Any diagnostic advise would be greatly appreciated!

Guesses: Get the master switch out and check to see if it has power and ground. If nothing while it's not working check wire on inside of vehicle to see if power is there. If so and not in the door then suspect a broken wire that bends at the rubber snorkel that's in the door jam. If so run a new wire(s) as needed made to bend which can be hard to find but anything in a jam if that's it,

Thanks for the input. It will be the weekend b4 I can spend any time with it but just curious...if it were the master switch would'nt that make all of the windows inoperable? The other 3 windows are still working. Does each window have it's own switch? Where exactly would it be located? If you haven't already guessed, I'm not too familiar with this topic! Thanks again.

Takes a few wires but generally the master switch is just that - the master. It may have failed but still enable other window on their own or who knows? Design is that it rules. If you are driving and a passenger requests something at the same time the master should overrule it. Master switch should also have an option to disable the other switches like if a child was playing with them you can stop that.

The motors simply reverse polarity for up and down. Get out the test light and see if it's doing it's thing,
