Hi,
It seems as the mornings have gotten cooler and there is more condensation, my car is having some start-up issues. It is very sluggish turnover, and sometimes the car even seems to turn on and off a few times before finally "catching" and staying on. My dad mentioned that there might be condensation on a wire. During the day after the sun has been out or I have driven it, it starts up perfectly fine. Even 5 minutes after I have trouble starting it up, I arrive at work (it's a short drive), and then I turn the car off and then turn it back on with no problems. Any thoughts? I am really baffled. I have talked to my mechanic about it briefly but since he hasn't witnessed the problem, he doesn't have much help to offer. I would love any input you may have. Thank you!

Sure - condensation makes moisture on a colder engine. When engine is warmed up it would dissapate. It still should behave at these items are made to tolerate that. There is likely a weakness in something secondary in the ignition like wires, coil(s) and or dist. cap/rotor or anything with the high voltage of secondary ignition parts.

With a cool engine you can frequently mist these parts with like salty water (I use window cleaner as I don't like salting an engine) and the arcing may just show up in low light showing the weak link,
