Men are we good or what; this person only had to post a question and the problem disappeared, right along with the question itself!!!! LOL Sorry Tasha; I couldn’t help myself; maybe try posting again and give us a few details? Dan. Canadian "EH"

ok. why? Need information. What engine? Do you hear a click when you hit the key? Have you had the battery tested? Have you cleaned the battery connections? Have you attempted to jump start this vehicle? What happened when you did? Do the preliminaries first and if you still can't get it to turn over look in the fuse and relay panel next to the battery. The inside of the cover will tell you which fuse and relay is which. If the fuse is good, try changing the relay out with a different one, like the one for the air conditioning. Also, does your instrument panel light up the section for gear position with the key on? If so, does it say specifically that you are in park? Try the neutral position and wiggle the handle while trying to start. If it starts then you need the gear position switch. You will have to remove the transmission pan and pull out the valve body as this switch is on top of it and held in place with torx-head screws. But there are too many things to cause this problem that you have to start at the battery and connections and work your way down the chain. I maintain a fleet of caravans for a taxi company, so I can talk you through the entire starting system if needed but need more information about what you have checked first.

nickwarner I like your enthusiasm; myself, I must be getting lazy as I get older. LOL I think I would want to know a few more details (like you did ask) before pulling oil pans. Good info though; would scare the crap out if me, if I weren’t a tech. Good to see that you’re willing to get involved and show people; that even what may sound like an every day problem, can turn into a bit of a job. Dan. Canadian "EH"

Hey - speaking for myself - we aren't all wrapped too tight sometimes. Doing this all the time can take a sense of humor, some is inside so you wouldn't know what some jokes are about, T

Guys - two threads now going on this and battery was disconnected with an aftermarket alarm and I can't guess now what to do as it might normally cancel the request for starter, ign, fuel and who knows what? T

the alarm makes it the bigger problem. No telling where it wires into without manufacturer specific info. I have a couple caravans in my taxi fleet with alarms and the big problem is they are all aftermarket. This was a dealership installed option so individual dealers could pick whatever brand worked at the price they wanted. No factory information for a factory ordered alarm. Not cool. They will interrupt the starter. Do the lights start flashing when you try to get into the car or start it? I have one that doesn't engage the horn but the alarm will flash the lights and stop the starter from engaging.

Do you know the namr brand of the alarm system ? Sometimes there's a brand sticker on the control box under the dash . We might be able to help with that info. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

Whilst under the van , (please use jackstands), while a helper turns key to start , give the starter a couple of light raps with a hammer. Sometimes this will wake it up . LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

Not surprising. There's a whole female only shop in town - all ASE certified and busy. IMO - sometimes women have an advantage as they ask for one thing and generally don't throw things around when things don't work out T
