97 pontiac sunfire brake leak HELP! Sign In

My brakes suddenly went to hell, and i need help finding out the problem so hopefully i can fix it myself.
My back left tire area has a really rusty hose that contained brake fluid and i think that got a leak in it.
my entire system is out of brake fluid from this leak and when i put new brake fluid in it instantly leaks out the back end somewhere.
it happened when i had to hit the brakes pretty hard to make a sharp turn.
then all of a sudden my brake pedal goes all the way to the floor and if i press harder i will get my car to very slowly brake.
its nothing on the wheel, it is a small thin rusty tube running from my left wheel area to something else i dont know haha
im sure it strictly contains brake fluid.
there is an identical one on the right wheel too but that one is working.
can anyone please tell me what this tube is called, howmuch it might cost, and how hard it is to fix?
thanks!

Choose something different to learn about. Brake repair is too dangerous for OJT. That rusted out brake line has to be made to specific specs. Just have it towed to a reputable shop.

I agree. If you have never done brake line work or have the proper tools and knowledge, your better off having it professionally done.

If you had a qualified person with the right tools there to teach you its a learning experience. If its a Cletus who is only a little less clueless than you I guarantee you will crash this car fast and lose way more money paying for that than the repair shop that will do it right. I follow the other mods here in their advice.

Now if Cletus has a brother named Crazy Cooter, you should be alright.
