I have a 98 Mercury Mystique 2.5L with 118,000 miles. Twice within the last week, while I was making a turn (once left and once right) it died. Both times I put it in neutral and tried the key and it started right back up. The check engine light is not on. Any ideas? Thanks

Long shot, but it may be possible the Power Steering pressure sensor is failing. If it is not working properly, the rpm's won't increase to compensate for the extra load on the engine. Could also be the Idle Air Control valve getting dirty. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
