98 olds eighty eight overheating wont start Sign In

Started with the car over heating. Added coolant. still hot. found that fan was not kicking on. later wouldn't start. Battery doing fine turning the starter over. Direct current to the fan and it works. Hope this is enough information. Thank you in advance. I am at the end of my already limited mechanical knowledge.

Pressure test the cooling system to find an repair any leaks. You could also have internal leaks from a blown head gasket or on this engine you could also have a defective intake manifold leaking into the valley area.
