6 or 4 cylinder? Did the coolant boil out of the coolant reservoir? The engine overheated and shut off? Need some more information. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

It did not appear that it boiled out of the resevoir when i checked under the hood...the only fluid leak i saw was up under it. But that was checked before it overheated and died

Which engine? You may have to get up under the vehicle to see where the leak is coming from. If you can't determine the source, you may have to pressurize the coolant system to find the source of the leak. Now. The leak may have been the cause of the overheating situation and the effect of the overheating was damage to the engine. Since the engine doesn't wan't to start, you'll need to check for spark, fuel, and injector pulse. If those check good, you'll have to do a compression check to see if you overheated the engine long enough to cause mechanical damage. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Awesome thanks! I don't know much about cars...just enough to check fluids and tires. The vechicle is back on an army post and I have no way of accessing it...trying to have a few guys check it out for me. Someone was trying to tell me i mighta blown a head gasket :/ So I was just gonna let it be...but I really want to at least check things out first since I got it towed!
