Make: 99 Ford Ranger 4x4 I gotta BIG problem. So, I got my 99 ford ranger 4x4 in july, automatic. Currently it has 183k lmost 184k miles on it. It usually runs wonderfully without issue. But Today, I went out to warm up my truck, and he started up just fine. Then I started down the road and he started shaking, and i couldnt push the gasmuch because it was kind of stiff? if that makes sence. My RPM had a hard time getting past 3, it felt like something was stuck, or having a hard time shifting or something. When I was idling, he was shaking really bad, but when I put him in nuetral, he wouldnt. and when I got to school, and got out, m truck kind of semlt like rubber, or something. I don't know much about vehicles, so please explain to me whats happening to my danger ranger. ): Thanks.

I assume your check engine light is coming on. Have the codes read and go from there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Autozone does do free code readings in many/most stores as well as some others. Get the #s or whatever in print if you have to write it down yourself. Take care of this as your converter(s) are at high risk when running improperly, T
