99 Grand Prix-Muffler Noise Coming From Front

Not sure what happened-I pulled my car out of the garage this morning and there was a loud noise coming from the front...sounded like a muffler..and I smelled exhaust. The car did not sound like that when I pulled it into the garage yesterday and it had not moved since then (just indicating there was no impact damage) Only thing I may have hit was a bottle of mineral spirits but that was a plastic bottle..that was right when I was backing it out.
The noise only happens when I hit the accelerator.
If I am drifting down the highway, it is silent.
I took it to Advance Auto parts..they thought it might be an exhaust donut.
Just wondering if you think they are on the right track? Any assistance is appeciated.

You'll probably have to hoist car up safely to get under and see what's leaking from rust or damage or who knows right now? While cold/cool put a rag on tailpipe outlet which may force an exhaust leak to show itself with a helper.
Rattle around cold exhaust parts or just see trouble spot from underside if it's nothing you can see from underhood,
