99 Intrepid won't start, line blew off?

First off, I apologize. I know nothing about cars, but I need help on where to start. I only have one car, a 99 Dodge Intrepid with a 3.2, and it's not starting. A family member went to take my car out today and it started just fine. She put it in reverse and got it out of the driveway, it quit, and that's it. It won't catch again. I went to start it myself and a line on the top/back blew off, and a little bit of smoke was coming out. I circled the line here: i.imgur.com/m9xyZiw.png My mechanic is out of the state for 2 weeks and I don't have a lot of money to go to another, but if I can get some idea of what to look for, I might have a guy who can help me.
Sorry for the newb questions but I'm pretty desperate right now. Thanks.

There are several lines back there. Kind of hard to tell in your picture. It may have backfired and blew a line off, but there is a reason it did that. If you don't have tooling, knowledge of diagnosing drive-ability issues, and service information, it will be nearly impossible for you to figure out the culprit. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Thanks for the reply. I pretty much figured that I wouldn't be getting much help with this kind of non-information and know-how, but I was hoping against hope! For what it's worth, I took some more pictures of the line that blew off: imgur.com/a/TC4rl

Believe that is the line for the EVAP purge valve in your picture. The engine must of backfired or sneezed to knock the line off. If the engine doesn't want to start there are steps to perform to figure out what is missing that will make the engine run. To do those tests you need tools such as a spark tester, NOID light, and compression gauge. Of course, you can forget the NOID light because the injectors are hiding under the intake. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
