I charged my car battery for 24hrs in the house with a trickle charger once the reader said it was full i put it back in the car , started the car an let it idle for 30 seconds i then turned it off and left it 18hrs ,went back out to start and it wudnt start i was thinking its needing a new battery but i need to check with experts before going and replacing the battery

Charge it again and take it to have it tested include a load test. It could be a parasitic drain or just too old now to hold a charge and amps enough to start the car.
Also if it was left very low or dead for a long time most wont recover from that,

ive had the car 3 n half years it was a used car 08 plate and hadnt been moved or started in nearly 3mths ive charged it 3 times now each time the same happens

OK - Normal "Lead/acid" automotive batteries do NOT tolerate sitting around like some others. 3+1/2 years can be about the end of dependable life of some just from time alone without any problems, time just sitting or worse going dead and ignored is usually the end of even a good one.
However just so you don't waste or harm a new one you probably should do a "parasitic draw" test on the old one if you have time first while installed and see how well it might do disconnected from the vehicle. I'll try to find the link that explains how to the letter and add it in here.
Just FYI the chargers that will tell you they are all done and happy just know it reached steady voltage and most will quit leaving it saying it's good. Voltage isn't the whole need it has to have power called AMPS or better said as CCA (cold cranking amps) which is how powerful it is @ 32F totally matters, Tom

Just because you "charge" a battery does not mean the battery is healthy enough to hold the charge. You need to have the battery's health tested and replace it of necessary.
