Brakes Sign In

I recently changed my rear brakes and emergency brake cable and both are working fine. However, the dashboard brake light comes on and stays on each time I exceed 37 mph. What makes this happen?

Re: Brakes Sign In

What make, model and year is this vehicle????
Some vehicles (most actually) use the red brake light for more then one function and each manufacturer uses it in their own method.
This not a slam to the poster so please don’t take this in the wrong way (you are not alone) but it’s amazing that a lot of people think a car is a car is a car and that everything is generic. I wish it was then I wouldn’t be going back to the community collage all the time for updates and retraining for all the new and redesigned things that they (the manufactures) keep coming out with.
