SmileI'm replacing the front break pads on my 93 Chevy Astro with two wheel drive. I have pressed the piston back in position with a C clamp and have noticed break fluid leaking from the center rear of the engine. (I have done this before successfully). The weather has turned colder now so I can't immediately go back under the car.
Can anyone tell me where I can expect the leak to be coming from?
Dan

Re: Break replacement Sign In

It's coming from the master cylinder reservoir cover because you refilled the master as the pads were wearing down and now it's overfull when you push that fluid back into the master.

Thanks for your reply. I checked the master cylinder and it was down. I added fluid and looking under the car it leaked from the rear of the engine. The master cylinder is in the front. Do you know if there any flexible hydraulic lines besides from the calipers. The car has ABS.
Thanks, Dan

There are potential leak sources all over the car. It needs to be inspected.
