Hello I'm in need of some advice. For some reason my truck won't start my battery is good I got it checked out. When i open my car the lights are on. I put my key into the ignition and every thing works like it should radio comes on and lights on dash board comes on. Now when i crank it nothing happens lights stay on and every thing is doing what it should the only thing that goes off while trying to crank is radio but when i stop it comes back on. I'm not sure if it's the starter because i don't know where its at even if i was looking at it I wouldn't know what im looking at. This is my first truck its been working fine since i brought it. I last drove it thursday came home from work and then sunday morning was going to buy breakfast for my wife and my car wouldn't start. Please give me some advice on what i should do and how i could fix it.

The first thing you need to do is have the battery tested. All that other stuff coming on means nothing. It require much more amperage to operate the starter than anything else.

If the battery capacity tests good, then you should next look for a connection problem. The starter would be the last thing to suspect.

I've already given you instructions.

Just make sure your right about the battery because it's the most likely cause.

This is a pic of the battery cables. The eyelet, where the bolt goes through, can get corroded. Remove the bolt from the eyelet and clean both sides, as well as the bolt. As HT suggested, sounds like a poor connection.
