Crankshaft 96 Honda Civic Sign In

I have a 96 honda Civic, has a 195,000 plus miles on it. Monday the check engine light came on. I had it checked and it said that the crankshaft position senor was bad. I also have a wiring problem, the wires that run from the body of the car to the drivers door have disconnected from the harnest and are just hanging there. I think that the wires can be fixed at the junk yard. My real concern is the crankshaft. Should I deal with repairing this with the mileage the car has? Can the wiring problem cause the crankshaft problem? Should I try and get the wiring problem fixed, by getting the wirings from the junk yard and cut and paste almost. I am confused on what should be done here
