Thanks for advice Daewoo Nubira 2003 station wagon seriesII 2L engine 150.000 K This is a recon engine and has been great for one year now suddenly making 'tractor' sound from engine. Was driving fine suddenly sounded really loud like tractor as if something might have come loose or possibly fan belt/timing belt. Stopped immediately and nothing to see in engine bay , belts appear good no oil leaks etc levels all topped up.with no warning lights on dash. Towed home where it still sits. Single mum thinking of getting Lube mobile out. Do you think could be timing belt or engine blown up???

Check that out. Have a tech here from "OZ" - Dr Electrics from Townsville but two new children as I know it - not here much - any questions on that? Best of luck mate with the fixes of whatever, Tom

Thanks for that Tom certainly hadn't thought of that. Could you tell me how to check this and then is it possible to fix it ...my son is coming over this week so he would be able to help if we had a guide how to do it. R

Don't burn yourself, but plugging tail-pipe might show the problem and where it is IF IT'S EXHAUST. Parts should be OTC (over the counter) but use all caution not to break nuts and and bolts, T We do "OZ" here too....
