There is a big dent on the passenger side door of car. Im not sure exactly when or where this happened. Some time in the last 4 days or so in some parking lot. I rarely go to that side so I never noticed until today. The door won't open all the way and is unusable. There is also a plastic sheet that goes over the right front tire that is bent down. Anyone have a ballpark figure of the repair costs for this? I just want some idea before I take it in for an estimate. Its a 04 chevy cavilier

I find it hard to believe thst your sustained that much damage and you did not notice. Regardless, it would be impossible to est even wth a picture.. There could be hidden damage, there's no way to determine the overall condition of car and paint.THe best I could tell you would be to call a few salvage yards for prices on a door, fender and fender well liner. Then add , depending on how much painting, i.e. ,door, fender or whole car. $200 -$400 labor plus paint and materials.

The car drives fine, i have not had a need to use the right side passenger door. And I have not been driving much lately. Its not a huge dent thats all over the door, but its right over where the door opens.

Sorry for the mixup . The word BIG means different things to different people . Particularly men and women. Depending on the damage to the handle and latch mechanism you still may have to replace door, but not fender. adjust your parts bill and cut labor bout half.
