Hyundai Elantra 04, gls, 85k Km. It runs perfectly when boosted, new battery installed, new alternator installed, checked the neutral lock. What can the problem be? Edit: Does not crank when attempting to start.

Works when boosted: OK, power from the battery isn't transferring to the U-Bolts of the battery new or not. You could see that with meters and may get to that or first try a real good clean up with wire brushes, sand paper and make sure they have a firm connection to a known good and freshly charged battery yes even new it's not fully charged but near always enough. Then if it wont at least crank on it's own more checks including the new battery and all wiring hooked up at the U-Bolts right at battery. When it's running again on it's own you can check easily that it's really charging it. Strong chance that's it and should be periodic anyway to clean up. Do remember neg cable off first and back on last when disconnecting for working on a battery or even replacing one, T
