The alternator went out on our 1995 Saab 900S, I had it replaced and now there is a warning light on the dash that will not go off and the "SRS" light stays lit all the time. The warning light looks like a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle of it. From what I have read, that indicates there is a major electrical malfunction. The car has no issues with charging and everything appears to work fine on it. 1995 Saab 900S 100,xxx miles 4 cylinder engine

I doubt one proble has anything to do with the other. the SRS light is the air bag system and the module has recognized a malfunction and shut down the system. You will need a professional scan to to read the stored codes. A regular code reader will not work for this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
