2001 Econoline XLT V8 95K miles. Starter 'hesitates' as if low battery charge but battery power is ok ( as noted from green indicator ). If I have radio or lights on when vehicle of not running, even if for only a brief period of time, starter won't work as if battery is dead. Also noticed that if door opened ( when not running ) for brief period the interior lights become dim. Also noticed some brief shutdown ( interruption ) periods of radio. Seems to be some form of electrical problem.

Sounds like you need a new battery. Never go by the battery "green eye". I have never seen one not green, even though the battery was cooked. Make sure you check the charging system when you replace the battery. Steve
