I have a 1997 Ford Thunderbird engine 3.8. The fuel pressure goes up to 35 then drops down right away. What does that mean. I have been working on this car for a while and cant figure it out.

You're going to have to do some troubleshooting to determine if the leak is the fuel pump itself, an injector or the regulator. You do this by pinching off lines at various points to see if you can stop the leakdown.
