Gasoline smell Sign In

Frown My 2002 Dodge Stratus 4 cylinder with 75,000 miles recently developed a gasoline smell problem. This problem is not continuos but occurs sporatically. When the problem occurs it does not appear immediately when I start the engine but after driving a mile or so with the fan on when I stop at a light a heavy gasoline odor occurs in the car. Although less frequent several times after driving for a few miles when I shut off the engine a stong gasoline smell is detected outside the car around the engine compartment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Bob

Re: Gasoline smell Sign In

this is a serious problem that would be too difficult to diagnose online, because of how serious this problem may or may not be, i suggest taking your car to a professional and having them look at it, we cant smell and find your problem through the internet, sorry.

Definitely chase this down fast! Look for clean areas and run your finger under and fuel lines for wetness. If you need help finding this with a shop I wouldn't delay,
