General question on a common issue

Hi all, we have been receiving reports from our friends that installing new headlights cause severe radio interference, the type of vehicles ranges from ford to dodge to other makers, models as well, so we are simply hoping to get a general idea of what could possibly be the issue. We have recommended our friends to wrap aluminum foil around the ballasts on those new headlights but did not seems to help much. Is there a -close to- guaranteed solution or part that can be ordered somewhere? This issue has been bothering us for a while now so we would love to get it resolved, in the least expensive way possible.

? Different brand vehicles may use the same bulbs if that's what you mean. Skip the aluminum foil - bad idea IMO.
Radio "interference" is usually a failed secondary (high voltage ignition something) not headlights! If it's altered or messed up for improper rated lighting AYOR for anything about it,

new headlights - you are not installing different type bulbs LEDs HID etc?

friends were switching to using LED headlights from their halogen oem headlights. What would be a good solution for the radio issue?

so radio interference would be more of a "car" issue than "bulb" issue? That would certainly explain why this issue does not happen consistently on the same brands/makers of the vehicles.

What is this car/vehicle? Sylvania sells an OE compatible "Silverstar" series of headlamp bulbs that really are brighter a lot no fussing and just put them where old OE ones were.
Search them out for specs and watts used for you specific vehicle. They have been fine in everything I've put them in so far and remarkably brighter. One fault - they don't last as long if used a lot of hours and slowly get dimmer,

Problem when switching LED headlights from oem headlights.
suggest you switch back to OEM. Because OEM* is what is called for.
*owners manual will have #for bulbs.

There is a number of different cars affected by this radio issue, so this question was just asked to see if there is any common solution

The common solution is don't modify the electrical system.
