im fixing a timing chain on my wife's car. It skipped a tooth. its a 2004 Saturn Ion with a 2.2L Ecotec. It is an interference motor. I goofed up and skipped a major and very important step. I removed her intake and exhaust camshaft sprockets before ensuring the timing marks were at the 10 o'Clock and 2 o'Clock position. I was getting ready to put in the new chain when I realized the mistake I made. Is there any way to set the timing on both camshafts without knowing where they were when I took off the camshaft sprockets? Thanks in advance for your help!

The sprockets are market for intake and exhaust so they can be reinstalled and carefully rotated to position. Just be very careful when rotating and don't force anything if you feel a hard stop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

How do I ensure I am reinstalling the sprocket the same way it was installed before?

It's got slots but the sprocket can be put in two ways, one 180 degrees different from the other :/ I suppose that's better than nothin though

The exhaust gear I posted shows the position of the cam slot in reference to the sprocket. Now here is the intake.
