HELP! Wipers rest in opposite position

This is driving me crazy. I had to take out and fix my wiper transmission (Toyota Sienna) and it works but the wipers rest in the opposite position like in the photo.

When the blades move, they down to the bottom of the windshield and back to the top and stop there. So they "work" but I don't think the van will pass inspection this month.

is there anyway to adjust the drive posts so they are starting 90 degrees counterclockwise? I've tried disconnecting the power to the wiper motor when it is in the "correct" position but it rests to the incorrect "up" position.

Any advice is most welcome!

Try disconnecting the wiper transmission from the motor, Cycle the wipers and let the motor "Park" at the down position
Then reconnect the transmission
