Please Help!!

I have a 2001 Honda Civic that was recently in a minor front end collision.
Now the SRS light is on and the driver side seat belt will not retract or pull out.
What do i do??Unsure

it seems like the two are related. youll have to try to research to see if you can find a way to get the SRS light to flash and count the flashes to retrieve the code.

the seat belt pretensioner is like a ratchet and it locks in position when the forces swing the ratchet into locking position...

thats why sometimes when your going around a turn and you lean forward the seatbelt locks.

might need a new seatbelt assembly. maybe your body weight pulled too hard on the mechanism and bent something not allowing the spring to retract the arm.

The SRS light and seatbelt are definately related. The code is pri=obably for the seatbelt pre-tensioner as stated earlier. You need a high end scan tool that will read the SRS system to get the code. You will need to have the seatbelt pretensioner replaced and then the codes erased. There may be more codes in the system, so have all them repaired.
