I have a 2006 Jaguar X-type and I think I may be getting ripped off. I need to know what ya'll think I should be payinf for parts and labor for...

1) New fron rotors
2) Resurfaced rear rotors
3) new front & rear brake pads

Some of the parts can be a bit on the steep side for this car.
This is what it would be at my shop

front pads 113.00
front rotors 107.00 ea X 2 = 214.00
rear pads 161.00
labor approx 2 hr @ $80 + 160.00
This is just an average labor rate and yours could be higher. Parts prices can vary with quality but these are OEM replacements.

You could easily spend $700 on this and maybe more

Getting a quote for about $875 all-in. Seemed high but probably close FrownI guess...

Yes, depending who is doing it. My labor time was low. If flat rate is applied, it will call for more labor and if it's the dealer, the labor rate is probably higher.

matt; I don't want to 'rub salt in the wound', but, imports are more expensive to repair than domestics. When you add 'British' to the equation, look for a second mortgage.
