MY fiance has a 1990 Nissan Stanza that is dropping gas like crazy. Checked it for a gas leak everywhere and could not see a leak but I believe I smelled gas from the exhaust. It was not coming from underneath the hood and is not the injectors, they were changed out a few months back. We cant find any place to hook it up to an analyzer, they only go back to 1996 (Auto Zone and places like that). The timing chain seems to be held in track by rubber which has worn down and I know that needs to be replaced, probably have to buy a kit. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be or any places that would have an OBG1 analyzer?

you didn't state how its running or starting-but it possibly might have a faulty fuel regulator-pull the vacuum line off the regulator-its there is fuel present then the regulator needs to be replaced- hope this helps.......
