Can any of you guys recommend any great country pubs in the States? I run a website in England called The Soft Top Man www.thesofttopman.com and I'm listing great pubs to drive to for convertible car lovers. I know quite a few good places in the Uk but when I worked in the US a year or two back the company actually expected me to work so I didn't get out much - apart from Shooters Bar & Grill on Ritchie Highway, Severna Park - great bar but it doesn't exactly make up a directory on its own. Any suggestions?

I can add one for New England called "99" or just the 99s (about 40 of them) pubs that are also full serve restaurants but great meeting places for a lot of folks. If you really want to go nuts check out the sole priortiships of South Boston!!!! Talk about a trip back across the pond!! Just get used to paying $20 bucks to park a car! Most of the rest aren't chains but still popular one by one. There are tons of chain places but the folks seem to like the personal touch of the privately owned places. If you want to know more about Boston itself I'll try. It's a city of touchy neighborhoods. Tom
