Hyundai Sante Fe 2002, 2.0 Diesal 110,000 miles Hi all Im new to the forum and hoping someone here may be able to help. I bought a second-hand Sante Fe in excellent condition and was very happy with it for a couple of months then it developed a starting problem: When the engine is cold (usually after being left overnight) it just turns over and over and wont start; the only way is using easy start, then once running it ticks over and drives perfectly and starts again once warm. So I have taken the following steps: 1) replaced the heater plugs - no change 2) Ran diagnostics and this brought up a cam-shaft sensor; replaced this - no change 3) had a local garage pressure test the system and look for leaks; as we assumed by now air was getting into the system when it was sat for a while; after running tests we changed the fuel filter - no change 4) By now we had re-run diagnostics regularly with nothing coming up; fuel pump was a little damp so replaced the fuel pump with a re-con one from reputable dealer - no change 5) Removed injectors and cleaned in sonic bath - no change After taking all the above steps the dam car still wont start unless I easy-start it which I know is bad long-term!!! Spoke to local Hyundai dealership today and they don't seem to know either. There must be a simple solution? Its going to be an expensive car to scrap and i would be grateful for any suggestions. Many thanks iestyn
