ive had it done by a local body shop to one of my cars. the guy will be able to tell you which ones he will be able to get out and which ones will need body work.

once i gave it to him to do the work he had it about a day. i was very satisfied with the end result

I have 31 new Crown Vic's that the logo guy placed his knee right on the trim on roof around rear window. Have local guy that is removing all the dents and you can't see any evidence it was ever damaged. Hail damage might be quite expensive as they usually charge by the dent. Might get him to price by hour or entire car.

We have companies that come out to the shops here to do this.
Each dent is different based on where it is on the car and how accessible it is.
They can usually get most of the dents out depending how much the metal has "stretched".
It can be a little pricy but its a whole lot less expensive that body shops and agree with W2O and dmac, usually very pleased with the results.
We had a couple severe hail storms here and the dealer Iwas at was selling hail damaged cars for a lot less money.
They were sold minus the body/paint warranty of any kind.
But people were getting great deals on new cars and then having paintless dent fix the dents.

To add: I've seen that work but haven't needed it myself yet. I would choose "paintless" so the orig paint ages at same rate unlike all repainted stuff I've ever seen.

Also - the windshield repair tricks can work well. This for when YOU would have to get a NEW windshield and I've done that and it's not invisable but stopped little "stars" from progressing. Mass made that legal a while ago and it wasn't for a long time - check on that locally.

Neat topic,

T
