Injector clogged.

My number 2 cylinder is misfiring. I've got spark. I did a noid light test, and it passed. So, would buying an additive with Polyether Amine (i.e. Techron) be enough to do the trick?, or I've heard mention of something I disable the fuel pump and connect the product to the incoming fuel line?? Would those work on a badly clogged injecter, or would it be best to just skip thos steps and take the injector to someone who has a machine to hook it up to? Thanks, Michael

Also, some reviews I've read on additives say to drive above 50 for a good stretch. Would it be harmful to the engine if i tried to do this on 3 cylinders?

The only code to come up is a P0302. It's a ford escort. It was a little shaky at idle. The service engine light and noticeable problem happened while driving around 60.

There is no such thing as "Mechanic in a can". Those additives may help prevent problems but aren't going to fix anything. There are profession chemicals that can be used to pressure clean the injectors but the chance of them working is about 50/50. You're kind of jumping the gun here.... You need to run a compression test 1st and since I'm guessing you don't have a scope, I would suggest just putting in a new set of plugs. If it still runs bad, swap wires to a different cylinder and see if you get a new misfire. If #2 is still the only misfire, swap injectors. If this gives you a new misfire then just replace the injector...... I would suggest not clearing the code, just see if you get a new misfire, i.e P0303. On Fords if you clear the codes the misfire moniter won't work until the crank profile is relearned and this can take a lot of driving at certain conditions, something you don't want to be doing with a misfire..... Also that injector cleaner you are talking about takes a injection cleaner kit to use.......

Yes I did jump the gun. It should have dawned on me that since the car smelt like gas then the injector was firing and not getting lit. I was only able to test the plug by holding it to metal. In hindsight the spark looked a little weak. I replaced all the plugs (they all looked a little worn) and replaced all the wires. Now no spark at all from the plug. Does this mean that it's absolutely the coil?
