Is is possible to change the lights on your instrument display cluster. The lights that illuminate all my gauges are extremely dim green (even with the dimmer switch on the lighting control turned up to maximum)

I had a friend tell me that he had a dealership change out his lights to a bright neon red kind of deal, but that was back when he bought the car. Is is possible for me to change the lighting on it myself?

it depends on the year/make/model of the car. most dashes use a 194 bulb for illumination and LEDs for idiot lights and other functions on the dash. i believe some of the new high end cars use some sort of fiber optics on some of their gauges.
