Insulation question

Hi there, my name's Alex and I have a quick question. My vehicle is a 1997 Dodge Caravan LE with 3.8L Engine and 203174 miles on it (hand me down from a friend). I noticed some smoke drifting out from under the hood the other day and popped it open. Turns out the insulation above the engine came loose and is dangling down onto it, smoldering slightly. Is there any kind of adhesive I can buy to put it back in place or would it be best to just get it replaced (and if so, how much would that even run me)? Thank you very much in advance. :)

Alex; You'll need to wait for a warm, dry, day...3M Weatherstrip Adhesive works great. Apply it to the insulation and the hood. Allow to get 'tacky', then reinstall it. 'They' make a spray adhesive as well, but doesn't work as well, IMO. (make sure the underhood is clean and dry. You may want to hose off the insulation, as well, and allow to dry) Loren SW Washington
