1988 Ranger P/U unable to turn key to start engin, steering wheel is locked. Pulling on wheel and turning key effort has failed. Any fuses to check for this ? or look for jammed linkage along steering colum ?

Probably bad lock cylinder, wrong key!, or something got in there. Shouldn't be any electrical stuff just to turn with a key in '88. ----- Just curious - do you have to push on another button to normally remove key or get to position for wheel to lock from this truck?? If so that may have failed somehow - I think either way you'll need to take wheel off and get in there, T
