please help me i'm going crazy with this, vehicle is 2001 lesabre, 3.8 auto, loaded. when turning slightly with the brakes on, abs kicks in and nearly stops the car. suspension was damaged in an accident on the rt ft, replaced with a used knee assy. car has stabilitrak, and the service stability system has come on once, but did not set a code.

I'm just guessing here, but it sounds like more of a mechanical problem. Could be wrong. (probably am). Was the wheel speed sensor reconnected? Was the rotor replaced? (if so, does the replacement rotor have the required reluctor?) If the ABS is actually causing (or seeing) the problem, I would expect you'd be feeling a very rapid "pulsing" in the brake pedal (and, usually, a matching vibration type sound) and would be setting ABS codes. Take a very close look at the front brakes (calipers, rotors, ect.) and steering linkage. Good luck. Loren SW Washington
