Loss of power up hills

2008 Citroen Dispatch 1.6 Hdi 32000 miles I am having trouble with my vehicle as there is a distinct loss of power up steep hills but has normal performance on the flat. It has recently had a full service and MOT and the problems occurred soon after. My first thoughts were that the fuel filter had become clogged and i have changed that but there was no change in performance. Grateful for any advice. Thanks.

This car is not sold where most regulars here are but not a problem. Get codes read for a beginning. Trouble if not instantly after the service you had done is probably not related. If no codes check that fuel pressure is proper, if that is test for catalytic converter being partly plugged up meaning it being an exhaust restriction. If this is diesel I didn't know by the vehicle name posted. Does this have full power on flat road if you ask for for it but not on the incline of a hill? Can't think of much if so. Probably just that you don't notice it as much. Start ruling things out and come back with results if any testing is all good and we can suggest other things on a list of possible problems/causes, T
