Mercedes C300 cooling fan Sign In

I have a 2007 Mercedes C300. Turn car off in garage. (No remote start). Hours later, a cooling fan cycles on, dim running lights come on, no key in ignition. Drains the battery, but I can jump start it. Dealer has looked at it twice, charges battery, says it is fine, and it works a few months, then problem repeats.

I don't see a C300 available. Is this a Euro car or something.

I can't look at a wiring diagram if it's not a US car.

I checked the C350 and there is a control module built into the fan and that has to be the problem.

Might have the year wrong, wife’s car. Definitely a C300, maybe an ‘09? If I put the key in when it happens, no strt and fan keeps running. Stays on about 15 minutes.

I/we can't compete with in person work and observations in front of us.
These cars are a PITA IMO don't work on them + never did they suk.

That's opinion and experience over 50 years of it.

OK let's try. It's interment so impossible already to ever be sure.

I care, want to help but hate these cars are revenge from losing WWII owning one is not my thing.

Welcome here still but these are Hitler's last revenge so screw folks who buy them!

Tell me about it. Each repair seems to cost $1000.

One time it broke, it was either a tow, or check on my Dad, who had a fatal heart attack and didn’t make it.

Car seems to be cursed.

Yeah, found it under 2009.

Same system though. The fan module is about the only thing that has the ability to do that.

Re: Mercedes C300 cooling fan Sign In

All good. I’ll jump it, take it to the dealer & have them replace the fan module & charge it up.

I swear this car is jinxed! Since my last post, house caught on fire! We’re fine, as well as cat & dog. Minor damage, but lost our internet.
