Motor Mount Bolt Sign In

I took the engine out of my 1979 Camaro and in the process broke the long bolt that goes through the clamshell part, fastening it to the anchor. OK, I've never replaced an engine before and maybe never should have but I'm guessing this must be some type of high strength bolt. The guys at the auto parts store just look at me like I'm nuts (no pun intended). And I don't see anything on-line. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually I don't think it does need to be high tensile strength. Look at old one for the marks. Not sure but if you have the broken one just match it up in a hardware store - they probably would have a stronger grade if you wish,

Re: Motor Mount Bolt Sign In

like said above, they arent anything special. just take the bolt you have, goto your local hardware store and get a Grade 8 bolt the right size. done
