I have a 98 plymouth breeze 2.0L made by chrysler and almost 800k miles on it, I've had tons of problems with it, I was driving down the road, and came to a red light, I stoped the car died. It made no sounds, Just died. So we pushed it out of the road, at 2 am and tried to turn the car on, nothing! So we went and got oil 3 quarts to make sure it wasnt oil, we got back to the car put some oil in it and nothing. When we got the car home and looked at it, It had jumped time, It had jumped time before and we got it fixed, so my father, set the time, bought a new timing belt, and new spark plugs and water pump had been recently replaced, before this happend so we did not replace the water pump again. Now, every time he sets the timing and turns the car on, it jumps time, he set it a couple times and its done the same thing, We have no clue what is wrong with it, Any clue on what is wrong with it? If you could please reply, I would really appericate it! Thanks Alot! -

That is an interference engine an you probably bent some valves when the timing belt went the first time. PS, one post is sufficient. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Oh Sorry about posting twice, I didnt know what to put it under, so you think my motor might need replacing, or is it something i can fix myself? Edit: Can you replace the valves?

I couldn't tell you from where I'm sitting but someone needs to investigate a little and do a leakdown test.

You're not going to know that until you know the extent of the damage. you may want to pay someone to diagnose it for you.

I don't mean simply read codes. Have someone find out why it won't start.
