Greetings all. 96 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 4x4. Just did some work on cooling system changing the water pump and thermostat. Do I need to test the system with a special tool/machine to pump pressure in, or, if nothings leaking out I can assume the work was done properly? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Well - what I do it pressure test my work before I even fill a system to make sure. If all is well you don't have to and if not it will leak if this was just a bad water pump. Would be possible to mess up a gasket when installed. Systems checked with just air will foam with soapy water till gasket gets wet from within with certain gaskets and that's not a cause for alarm but it would still hold pressure, T
