My 1999 GMC Sonoma quit running and the fuel pump seemed to be the problem. Checked relay and fuse, and installed a new fuel pump. No go. Tested the plug, and there is some current. What should I check next ?

Verify power and ground to the pump and use a fuel pressure gauge to see the actual pressure. If this is a 4.3, it requires a minimum of 55 PSI to run. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
