Hi All,
I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder SE with 144,000 miles. Check Engine light came on and blinks when I drive it.
Took it to the mechanic and he advised that there is a misfire. He said it needs a tune up since its never been done before. He also said it may need additional work, something with the gaskets though wont know until work has started.
Its $1,250 for the work assuming nothing else is needed. Sounds about right?

Is this a 6 cylinder or V8?

Does this price include coils?

Its a 6 Cylinder. Yes, includes the coils.

It somewhat depends on what brand of parts they are using. The OEM coils sell for $145 each but aftermarket's can be bought considerably cheaper.

It's nearly 3 hours labor to change them so that could be $300 right there.

I would think if they are using OEM parts it's a fair price, if not, it's a bit high.
