No brake pedal after starting engine Sign In

I'm trying to repair the brakes on a 1989 Plymouth Acclaim that has been sitting for 9 months. My problem is no brake pedal after I start the engine, good pedal without engine running. I have replaced a couple of leaking lines and bled the system. Do I need to replace the master cylinder? Or maybe the booster?

It would be more common to need the master cylinder than the booster.

You may only have air still in the system. A bad master cylinder would either leak or you would feel your brake pedal fade away to the floor.

I would check your brake work and bleed it out again AND NOT drive this car until you have brakes! T
